Purchase Policy
Last Updated: February 1, 2023
At PortCity Reggae, we strive to make your ticket purchasing experience as easy and convenient as possible. Please take a moment to review this purchase policy which governs purchases made on our Site, our Terms which govern your use of our Site, and our privacy policy. If you have any questions, please contact us.
PortCity Reggae is an Internet-based, print-at-home, mobile applications ticketing service. We are hired by our clients to sell THEIR tickets. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your event experience BESIDES the purchasing process, you must speak to a representative of the event venue at the box office before the event has concluded. Policies set forth by our clients do not allow us to exchange or refund tickets once an event has taken place for any reason.
Methods of Payment
PortCity Reggae accepts several methods of payment to meet customer needs, including (among others) VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit or debit cards for your purchases. For qualifying events, PortCity Reggae may also accept payment via PayPal or gift cards. At the discretion of the venue or event promoter, however, all of these options may be limited or may not be available for all events.
Pricing and Availability
Throughout the duration an event is on sale on our Site, the PortCity Reggae software will select the best possible seat location at that time, as determined by our clients. PortCity Reggae does not determine which seats are better than others. The venue where the event takes place decides in which order seats will sell. By utilizing the Internet, all of PortCity Reggae distribution points access the same ticketing system and inventory; therefore, tickets for popular events with a high demand may sell quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event or added to an event as it is selling.
Order Confirmations
After submitting payment information, if for whatever reason you do not receive an order confirmation through a page on our Site or a confirmation e-mail or you are experiencing an error message, it is your responsibility to confirm with PortCity Reggae customer service whether your order has been processed. PortCity Reggae will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was placed because you failed to receive confirmation.
Convenience Charges
A convenience fee (service charge) is assessed for each ticket purchased for the ease of purchasing tickets remotely. Delivery fees may also apply.
Ticket Limits
When purchasing tickets through PortCity Reggae, you are limited to a maximum number of tickets for each event per purchase. This ticket limit is clearly identified on the event page and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices. We reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets if you exceed the posted limits, including orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.
Cancelled or Postponed Events
All ticketed events are to be held regardless of weather conditions. Sometimes weather or other outside considerations make the performance impossible to complete. In such instances, the event venue or the event promoter are charged with making the final determination of cancellation and refund availability. If your event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved to another venue, PortCity Reggae will attempt to contact you with details on the status of the event, and inform you of any refund, credit, or exchange procedures.
Chargebacks and Other Refund Prohibitions. You agree that you will not attempt to evade, avoid, or circumvent any refund prohibitions in any manner with regard to tickets you purchased. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you will not contact us to seek a refund or exchange from us when we are prohibited from providing one by the Event Organizer, and you will not dispute or otherwise seek a “chargeback” from the company whose credit card or other method of payment you used to purchase tickets from the Site. Should you do so, your tickets are subject to immediate cancelation, and we may, in our sole discretion, refuse to honor pending and future ticket purchases made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made, and may prohibit future purchases from all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist, and from any person who accesses any associated online account or credit card or who otherwise breaches this provision from using the Site.
Please order tickets only after you are certain you want them.
Refunds and Exchanges
Do not order tickets unless you are certain you want them. All sales are final and refunds are allowed only in limited circumstances as described in the Canceled or Postponed Events section above. Before purchasing tickets, it is your responsibility to carefully review your seat location, event, and performance date. Please note that seating maps are visually representative of a venue’s layout; however, they are subject to change at any time, and refunds are not allowed if the seating map is updated, if additional seats, sections or rows are added, or if seats change as a result of a venue change after purchase.
Policies set forth by our clients may prohibit PortCity Reggae from issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased. PortCity Reggae will issue refunds ONLY if an event is canceled in its entirety. Refunds for canceled performances include the ticket price and the per ticket convenience charge(s), but do not include the per order handling charge if any fees are collected for a chosen delivery option. Refunds for rescheduled events will be provided only with the venue’s or promoter’s approval. If an event is canceled and not rescheduled, refunds will automatically be applied to the credit card used by the customer at the time of purchase. In such instances, refunds will generally appear on your next account statement depending on your billing cycle.
For payments made via PayPal, refunds cannot be made to a PayPal account if the date of attempted refund exceeds the date of purchase by more than 180 days. In such instances, PortCity Reggae will attempt to contact you with details on an alternative refund method. For payments made via gift cards, we will attempt to refund to the original method of payment. If this is not feasible, we will contact you with details on an alternative refund method.
We cannot issue refunds to an alternate method of payment or card unless your refund is rejected by our system. In such instances, PortCity Reggae will attempt to contact you with details on an alternative refund method.
For any ticket insurance refunds, please contact the insurance provider.
Opening Acts
Opening acts or guests may sometimes tour with headlining performers. PortCity Reggae is not always made aware of opening acts or the length of their performances. These opening acts are subject to change or cancelation at any time without notice. No refund will be given if an opening act is changed or canceled unless the venue or promoter approves it.
Information Verification
For processing orders, PortCity Reggae requires verification of the billing information, including the billing address. Submitting incorrect billing information may cause delayed processing and delivery. PortCity Reggae may attempt to contact you regarding problems verifying your information. If PortCity Reggae has reason to believe your purchase is fraudulent or otherwise in violation of our Terms, we may cancel your order.
Unlawful Resale
Tickets unlawfully resold or attempted to be resold, counterfeit or copied tickets may be seized and canceled without compensation. Certain maximum resale premiums and restrictions may apply in some states, and PortCity Reggae cannot be responsible for providing legal advice regarding resale or pricing of tickets. You are responsible for complying with all applicable ticket resale laws. PortCity Reggae has the right to restrict or deny ticket purchasing privileges to anyone that we determine to be, or has been, in violation of our policies. PortCity Reggae allows the customer to reprint tickets for THE CONSUMER’S USE ONLY. The unique two-dimensional QR code printed on all tickets will allow ONLY ONE ticket, the first ticket, to enter the event. You agree not to sell, reproduce for sale, alter, or counterfeit the ticket for any reason, and assume all financial liability for the copying of the user’s unique, QR-coded ticket. PortCity Reggae does not guarantee the form in which you will receive your tickets. Tickets may be re-issued via a different channel when requested by the venue. Additionally, “print-at-home” tickets may only be printed up to the time of redemption.
PortCity Reggae cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any non-authorized third party reseller (such as brokers or individuals). We recommend that you purchase tickets directly through us, or from the venue box office to ensure ticket authenticity.
Errors
If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect (regardless of whether there was an error in the price posted on the Site), you are able to order a ticket before its designated on-sale date, or you are able to order a ticket that is not supposed to be available for sale, PortCity Reggae shall have the right to cancel that order or ticket and refund to you the full amount that you paid, including fees.
Ticket Transfer
Ticket Transfer is a safe and easy way to transfer (send) tickets digitally to another person. If your tickets are eligible for transfer, you can send them to friend or family member from your online account. If you are a Ticket Transfer recipient, meaning someone you know and trust is transferring their tickets to you, you will be able to accept them in your online account.
Once a recipient accepts a Ticket Transfer, a new barcode is issued and the sender’s tickets are invalid. If a ticket has been transferred multiple times, only the ticket from the last transfer will be valid for event entry. All previous ticket QR-codes will be invalidated.
The sender can modify or cancel a Ticket Transfer before the recipient accepts the transfer, not after. Please note that we may cancel transferred tickets, at any time, if we determine that they were obtained fraudulently or otherwise in violation of our policies; therefore, it is important that you know and trust the individual transferring tickets to you before accepting them.
Recipients can choose only Mobile or Print-at-Home delivery (if the event offers it). All merchandise, VIP package elements, fan club memberships, and ticket insurance originally purchased or included with the ticket are not transferable. Ticket insurance will not apply to transferred tickets.
If an event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled or moved, and refunds are approved by the Event Organizer, only the original purchaser—i.e., the person who purchased the tickets at issue directly from our Site—will be eligible for any available refunds or credits.
For canceled events, the original purchaser will receive any available refund (or may take advantage of an optional credit offer, if available), and no additional action is needed from the recipient of the transferred tickets.
For postponed, rescheduled, or moved events, recipients of the transferred tickets will need to transfer the tickets back to the original purchaser in order for the original purchaser to take advantage of any available refund and/or credit options. Once the tickets have been transferred back to the original purchaser, the original purchaser will need to contact Fan Support to complete their request.
Please see the Canceled, Postponed, Rescheduled section, below, for more information on when refunds and/or credits may be available.
Please note that recipients of any transferred tickets are not eligible for any available refunds or credits, because the transfer recipient did not purchase tickets directly from our Site. If you purchased a resale ticket from some other source (i.e., not through our Site), and that ticket was then transferred to you, you will need to reach out to your original point of purchase for any refund and/or credit options, if available.
Rejection and Ejection
Event staff reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct the management deems to be disorderly or otherwise fails to comply with event rules. Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event and will not result in a refund.
Permissions
You agree that the event for which you purchase tickets is a public event and that your appearance or actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public. You further agree to have no expectation of privacy regarding your conduct or actions at the event. You grant permission to PortCity Reggae and the event management to utilize your name, image, likeness, appearance, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication, or reproduction made of, or at, the event for any purpose, without further authorization from or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.
Subject to Search
Upon your entry into an event, you and your belongings may be subject to search. You hereby consent to such searches and waive any claims that may arise from such searches. If you refuse to undergo such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Some venues may prohibit certain items from being brought onto the premises, including but not limited to, alcohol, drugs, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, and containers.
